PyCDSL: A Programmatic Interface to Cologne Digital Sanskrit Dictionaries

Abstract

PyCDSL is a Python library that provides programmer friendly interface to Cologne Digital Sanskrit Dictionaries (CDSD). The library serves as a corpus management tool to download, update and access dictionaries from CDSD. The tool provides a command line interface for ease of search and a programmable interface for using CDSD in computational linguistic projects written in Python 3.

My research lies at the intersection of Computational Linguistics, Natural Language Processing, and Knowledge Graphs with a particular emphasis on low-resource languages such as Sanskrit and other Indian languages. My recent work has focused on building datasets, models, benchmarks, and evaluation frameworks grounded in linguistic structure. My interests also include Artificial Intelligence, Information Retrieval, Human-Computer Interaction, and Data Mining.
